mBank Names New Chief Operating Officer

Experienced Executive Will Oversee Branch Operations, Marketing and Information Technology

MANISTIQUE, MI; June 14, 2012 – mBank today announced the hire of Michael Saporito as Senior Vice President, Chief Operating Officer. Saporito is a seasoned banking executive with over 30 years experience at community banks of similar size to mBank.

Saporito, who was most recently Senior Vice President, Chief Operating Officer at Community First Bank and Trust in Columbia, Tennessee, will be responsible for mBank retail deposits, branch operations and administration, marketing, facilities, information technology and security.

His skills will be instrumental to ensure our risk management platform keeps pace given the growth in our organizational business model the last several years and our plans for future expansion either internally by organic means or through mergers and acquisitions.”

Tammy McDowell, who held dual roles as Chief Credit and Operations Officer for the past several years, will remain in her role as Executive Vice President, Chief Credit Officer strategically focusing her expertise and time on the major asset risk areas of the corporation: credit, compliance and loan operations.

Prior to Community First Bank and Trust, Saporito held senior leadership positions at banks throughout Ohio and Tennessee, including Ohio Legacy Bank (now Premier Bank), The Commercial and Savings Bank, The Bank/First Citizens Bank and First American National Bank (now Regions Bank).

Saporito explained, “I am very excited about being part of mBank’s dynamic and growing organization and look forward to contributing to that growth. My prior experience is a great fit for the organization and its strategic goals.”

Saporito has a degree in Business Management from Franklin University in Columbus, Ohio and is a graduate of BAI’s Graduate School of Bank Operations and Technology at Vanderbilt University’s Owen Graduate School in Nashville, Tennessee.

He and his wife Vicky will be moving to Manistique. They have three grown children and 3 grandchildren.
